The Bible is awesome!

I'm really trying to dig into the bible right now. This is always hard for me because I get to a point were I just want to be doing something else. I lack what you might call DISCIPLINE.

As an artist and musician I'm always looking for inspiration.

What better inspiration than Divine inspiration!

I think God set the standard for inspiration with the bible. He left it to men to write the greatest book ever written. That is a gift. God gifts us all with different things.

What is your gift? Where is your inspiration?

By the way, he might have been on to something with the whole creation thing as well!

What Up!

Just checking in. I'm really enjoying all the feedback on the site. I love that everyone is using this technology thing to keep in touch.

I generally feel disconnected from everyone! I focus so much of my time and energy on the music ministry that I often feel like I don't get to talk to everyone that I would like. I have really enjoyed reading everyones experience blogs and hearing second hand about how God is moving in peoples lives through this time.

Awesome!

I look forward to getting closer to God and his body through this experience!

Experiencing = Worship
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.

I'm A Failure!

A big thank you to Shawna Danberg for the class on Sunday night. For those of you who were not there, Shawna did a really good class on leadership. What it focused on was failure and how to be successful even though we fail.

That said, I've been a failure. I've really struggled with the fast. I finally broke down and had a chicken nugget yesterday. Where is the Nugget? That was my excuse yesterday to Christie. My argument was that it's not real meat anyways.

I've been concentrating on the fast and not on God. I read some of the churches experience entries on the web site this morning and it was encouraging to see people really turning to God. I really do feel more connected with people simply through this shared experience.

I'm excited and encouraged this morning. I'm caffeine free and mostly meat free. Keep it up!

Well day one is complete. For me it was the full 24 hour variety, I was at work and let me tell you it was a long day. It's noon now the following day and I just woke up. We had many calls last night so I got some sleep this morning. Yesterday was a struggle. I'm doing well with the food but when you go from 2 to 3 pots of coffee a day to none.....ahhhh! I'm having to really let God take this one because my body is in pain. I might have a problem?

So, I encourage you guys to give it all to God. He's the only one who can handle it all.

Pizza!

There are some vegetables on there right?

Tomorrow we start the fast and I'm definitely having to rely on God to get me in the game. We've prepared pretty well with getting our food ahead of time and having meals planned. Having a plan is key.

I will be praying for the church! I'll be praying that above all we will grow closer to God. Good Things are about to happen!

Drums Rock!

Hello Everyone, it's been way to long and I feel that I need to connect again with all of you. With The Danial fast coming I thought I would post my daily journal and thoughts about the fast. I will have a new entry everyday so that you can see my heart and thoughts about the fast. I'm looking forward to growing closer with God.

I'm looking forward to this journey with all of you.

Easter!

It's almost Easter and we are quickly preparing at the church to host the masses. I wanted to talk about a theory behind what we do for Easter. Let's face it, the work is plentiful and the workers are few. All this to say that there is a lot we could do for Easter, but we think that it is practical and important just to be our selfs. What does being our selfs mean you say. Well, we are not doing any big program or really changing what we do for Sunday. We are just doing what we do. What we do is come together in fellowship every week and worship the Lord and here his word. We are also taking this time as an opportunity to baptize those who wish to do so. Baptism is a statement of how God has changed our lives. This is a powerful statement and I hope that people who visit will see it as an outward sign of how God has changed our lives! This is the business that God is in. Changing Lives!

I'm looking forward to another chance to play with you guys and be in the presence of God!
